How to make matcha

Everything you need is already in the box.

Step 1

Sift

Two scoops through the strainer. Breaks up clumps for a smooth bowl.

Step 2

Pour

60ml of water at 80°C. Hot, but not boiling — boiling burns it.

Step 3

Whisk

Brisk W-shaped strokes with the chasen. Fine froth in 15 seconds.

Step 4

Top up

Add hot water for usucha, or milk for a latte. Your call.

Step 5

Drink

Take the five minutes. That's the whole point.

Each kit includes a matcha bowl, bamboo whisk, whisk holder, matcha strainer, bamboo spoon, bamboo spoon holder, and cleaning cloth.
Depending on the option selected, your kit may also include a 10 g pack of matcha powder. Please check your selected option before placing your order.

Which colours are available?

The Matcha Cercle Kit is available in Matcha Green and Soft Pink, subject to availability.
We display the colours as accurately as possible, but slight differences may occur because of lighting, photography, and individual screen settings.

Is the kit suitable for beginners?

Yes. The kit includes all the essential tools needed to start preparing matcha at home, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced matcha drinkers.

How do I prepare Matcha using the kit?

Sift 1-2 grams of matcha powder into the bowl using the strainer. Add a small amount of warm water, not boiling - and whisk quickly in a zigzag or “W” motion until smooth and frothy.
Add more water or milk according to your preference. The kit can be used to prepare traditional matcha, hot or iced matcha lattes, and other matcha-based drinks.

How should I care for the kit and store the Matcha powder?

Rinse the bamboo whisk with clean water immediately after use and allow it to air-dry on the whisk holder to help maintain its shape. Hand-wash all bamboo accessories, avoid harsh soap and dishwashers, and never leave them soaking in water.
Once completely dry, store the accessories in a cool, dry place.
Keep the matcha powder tightly sealed and away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture, and strong odours. Follow any additional storage instructions provided on the packaging.
